New York - Commercial Planning

New York Commercial Planning allows you to create a flying programme from scratch (or upload it from spreadsheets or other formats), manipulate and change it before making it ‘live’ as the planned operational programme. The Aircraft Scheduling tool can be used to allocate available aircraft according to user-specified allocation criteria.

Many versions of plans can be created, allowing you to model commercial options quickly and accurately. Cargo, individual pax details, charter seat allocations or fare classes can be entered and manipulated. The Broking utility helps to control buying and selling seats and seat allocations.

Projected pax and revenue figures can be entered and varied using a sophisticated Revenue Management utility, and all flying programmes can be costed using the Financial Control module.

New York also includes a suite of standard reports such as aircraft plots, flight fixture advices and Eurocontrol calculations for general day to day management reporting purposes, plus the ability to download data to other formats.

New York - Financial Control

This New York module provides the financial image of an operational programme. It records date-time related forecast and/or actual costs, then applies them to individual sectors or whole seasons to calculate the cost per sector. This cost data can be used to create and manipulate budgets, to monitor budget against actual costs, for route and performance analysis, and for ad-hoc costing. Costs are user-defined, and many different versions can be stored and used in the calculations. There are extensive routine reports, and the results of the costing process can also be downloaded to other formats for further manipulation.

New York also has a highly effective and time-saving invoice matching utility where invoice details are checked against confirmed sector information. Human effort and possible error is greatly reduced, and credits and rebates are more easily identified.

New York - Operations Management

The New York Ops module controls flight ops functions from the initial creation of sectors and schedules through pre-flight checks and monitoring the flight as it happens to post-flight data collection and analysis. Full integration with other New York modules ensures that flights are efficiently and legally crewed, cost and revenue information is available, and technical and maintenance issues are monitored. Routine management reports are available and information can be downloaded to other formats for further manipulation.

Ops ‘white boards’ are replaced by a sophisticated windows-based inter-active graphics tool. Full sector and crew information is available at a glance, and ops controllers can carry out all their routine tasks from the graphics screens. What is planned to happen, what is actually happening and what has happened can be seen clearly. With New York ops graphics on all managers’ desks (and in the crew room) ops controllers can see exactly what has been, is or will be happening, reducing time-wasting interruptions and questions; and the airline will have up-to-date performance information immediately available.

New York - Crew Management

The New York Crew Management system includes both fully automated and semi-manual crew rostering. It has several methods of optimisation, all with user-defined parameters. You can easily manage day to day crew activities through the inter-active roster graphics tools, and crew records are calculated initially from the ‘best’ information available; then from voyage reports/flight logs once these are available. Crew check expiries and crew allowances are also included. New York has a comprehensive range of reports and warnings designed to help you improve crew utilisation and identify problems.

Crew working hours are safely and effectively controlled using Flight Time Limitation profiles. These profiles can be created or amended by users to validate rosters and work patterns against EU Ops, JAR or CAP371 guidelines, corporate standards, or other standards, as required.

New York - Engineering Control

New York Engineering Control allows you to record technical/maintenance log information, enter engineering parts details, record and control defects and manage maintenance schedules. Technical log, parts, deferred item and defect information can be analysed to identify trends and highlight problem areas. A Maintenance Planning module is also available.

The New York graphics

New York has sophisticated graphics tools for the Commercial, Operations and Crewing modules. Each tool provides an 'at-a-glance' view of flight and/or crew information using colours throughout to group and highlight important information. Click and drag, drill-down, filters and user-defined colours and screen formats make the New York graphics tools easy to use and effective in highlighting problem areas.
